{Beginners Photography Workshop 2012}

The time has come and for me to host a beginners photography workshop. Woohoo! So what is this workshop all about? Well if you love taking pictures and have a digital DSRL and you are not using manual mode, than this just might be the place to learn. You don’t have to be a photographer to learn about photography. You will learn about basic camera settings, as well as lenses, other gear, and possibly some photo editing using Photoshop. You might just be a mom who wants to take better pictures of your kids or maybe you just got a new camera for Christmas and want to possibly start taking pictures for others! Spcae is limited to the first 10 people who book. The location will be in Waxahachie and once you reserve your spot I will send you all the specific details. The cost is $200 per person but after April 1st, the price will go up to $225. I look forward to to this new adventure and hope that you are able to join me!:)

Just click below to reserve your spot.

{Drew} :: Senior 12

Meet Drew. He was a former student at Mansfield Legacy but decided to graduate early so he finished at ACE. This guys has a lot going for him now. He’s off to TCC to start his basics and then he wants to head to either UT or TCU to go to law school. He comes from a family of attorneys so it’s in his blood. He is a super sweet guy and we had a load of fun in the cold last weekend taking his senior pictures. Best of luck in the future Drew and congratulations!!!

{Showki & Stephanie} Engaged!

Meet Showki and Stephanie. I think this might have been my favorite session yet, these two are absolutely beautiful together! I first met Showki about 8 years ago, he was a fan of Hide the Real (my husband’s band back in the day) and I met Stephanie at a mutual friends Christmas party a couple of months ago. They are so super sweet! So how did they meet? Well they met at work, what a great place to meet. They do a background check for you! lol. She was in a 6 month training program and they met right when she was placed on his sales team in May 2008. They were friends for a few months but eventually decided to act like adults about their feelings for one another. (Stephanie said that!) They are now both mortgage underwriters in the modification department for Bank of America. When I asked her if she had a blanket to bring for their session she said she did and gave me the history of it. It belong to her grandfather, which was her role model growing up. They spent nearly every day together and she just adored him. His mother made this quilt for him in the early 1920s. When he passed away she was able to choose an item of his to keep and she wanted the quilt because it had been with him the longest. She says that she feels like a piece of him is here today and he would have loved Showki. Okay let me wipe the tears from my eyes. I am glad I was able to capture the memories for these two and I’m looking forward to your wedding in March! Congratulations to you both!

(Landon & Keara} :: Burleson Wedding

I’m so excited to show off some of Landon and Keara’s wedding pictures. These two are such a sweet and special couple. Landon is a Fort Worth Police office and Keara works with special needs children and will graduate in March with her degree in education. They met and were married at Alsbury Baptist Church, where Landon’s father is the Senior Pastor. They both have very special qualities that I know will keep them together for a long time. Keara’s three children, Kendall, Dane and Katelyn were so adorable and did such a great job as the attendants. The wedding was beautiful and I had such a great time with the two of them, their families and friends. I hope you all enjoy these special memories! Congratulations!!!

Baby Hudson:: Special Gift

Like I have said before, I don’t do newborns. Casey and Barker are kind of special to me, so there are a few exceptions to the rule.:)Casey and I have known each other for a long time now and she has been one of my best clients ever! She has sent me tons of new business and my special gift to her was to photograph her sweet little baby, Hudson. I can’t thank her enough!!! He was a little bit older than what you typically photograph newborns, he is two weeks today. I was very impressed of his ability to hold his head up so good during the guitar case shoot. He’s going to be a tough man one day and big sister Audrey is going to make an excellent big sister. So here are some of my favorites from their session. Congrats to the Barker Family!
